SDG Anniversary Joe Cunnigham

8th SDG Anniversary for Joe Cunningham

At SDG we find solutions to our customer challenges, and one way we do that is by having great people. This month our Production Engineer, Joe Cunningham, celebrates 8th SDG Anniversary with the business.  We took some time out this month to have a chat with Joe about his role and celebrate his time and contribution to the team.

  1. How did your journey begin at SDG?

I applied for the role of Production Engineer in SDG 8 years ago, I am a welder engineer by trade. My child was only born the day before I got word back about the job, as I was heading back from the hospital the phone rang and I was asked to come in on Friday. I was a very happy man that day.

  1. What did your role entail when you started SDG and how has it changed over the years?

The role has changed dramatically since I started, the production end is quite the same but in terms of machinery and technology, we are now so much more advanced to allow us to provide the highest quality products within the industry.

  1. What does your role currently entail?

On a daily basis, I would firstly make sure all my machines are set up and ready to get started straight away, ensure my warehouse is stocked at all times, receive the orders for the days production and get started.

  1.  What products do you make?

A wide range of products including waterstops, concrete waterproofing, starter packs, Perm E Form and Jointstrip.

  1. Do you enjoy working at SDG?

If you’re not enjoying yourself at work, there’s no point being there, you have to have a positive attitude at work and I have that.

Thank you for your continued service Joe!
